Var feed = new Instafeed() These are the closing tags from var feed new instanceĪnd there you have it - thatâs everything you need to do to get a live instagram feed on your site! You can read more about doing this in the readme that can be found here Anyway, so hereâs how we implemented a feed: Instafeed allows you to conduct a live video broadcast from your personal computer or to quickly restream any YouTube video in just a matter of moments. Thereâs a host of ways you can implement certain types of feeds, whether you want it to grab your own feed, or search for a specific hashtag. This will need to be ABOVE the code we are about to discuss in the next point (but doesnât need to be above the div tag we made in point 0). Second things first: Make sure youâve included the instafeed.js file in your code.If it didnât, I implemented it by putting the following code on my site: Create an access token and provide it to an Instagram Token service Add the instafeed.js script to your web page and provide some simple options. Create a Facebook app linked to Instagram, and add yourself as a test user. Once youâve figured out where you want the Instagram feed to sit on your site, give the element an id of instafeed. Installation Setting up Instafeed is pretty straight-forward - there are 3 main steps. That really long client ID is important, as weâll need that later. Once youâve filled that in, you will see some details.Youâre now on - fill in that pesky form!.You should now be on - can you see where it says âRegister a New Clientâ towards the top-right-hand corner? Click that button. The members joining this social network have grown from more than 400 million accounts to billions of accounts. SHOPIFY INSTAFEED TEMPLATE EXAMPLE HOW TO.Firstly, go to - itâll ask you to log in (if youâre not already). This can be a little awkward, but follow this and youâll get it working: Image Border Width - Option to set image borders (in. If this doesnât make sense, here is an example: My instagram account can be located at Therefore, my account name is sunilsandhu Plop this into the smashballoon link and itâll give you your user id - itâs quite long but make sure you copy the whole damn thing, as youâll need it in a bit. Number of Columns - for example if you want 6 columns, you should add 2 more numbers to it. To get this, simply visit and type in your instagram account name.Itâs the magical JS code that youâll have to play with (a little) to get the thing to work. This is a case of simply adding the instafeed.js file from this github link: Thereâs no need to tamper with it, it simply works. Letâs go through each bit and explain what you need to do. The following bits are needed to make the Instagram API work:Ĥ - magical JS code to activate the feed (more on this later) Donât worry, you can make the feed look way better than this! ![]()
